Though quieter and more unassuming than some of her denmates, Brightpaw was as angry as the rest of the apprentices when Bluestar refused to make them all warriors. She and her denmate Swiftpaw set out to prove themselves worthy of being warriors by discovering the animals stealing prey from their territory. The horrific attack from the dog pack left Swiftpaw dead and Brightpaw scarred, both physically and emotionally. This traumatized young cat must find the strength within herself to rise above the pain of what happened to her and become the warrior she’s always longed to be.
