When the Lights of the Mist were being chosen to go into the Dark Forest, Lightleap volunteered to be the representative for ShadowClan. But when the moment came, the understanding of what she was truly about to do set in, and the fear that took over her kept her from being able to dream her way into the Dark Forest properly. Shadowsight went in her place, and Lightleap was left behind to stew in her shame and embarrassed anger over her failed courage. In time, shame turned to a reckless desire to prove her courage once more. How far will Lightleap go to prove her courage to her Clan, and to herself?
